Bread & Dahlias is committed to offering all flowers, products, and services to the community as truly pay-what-you-can, including free. This means Bread & Dahlias has to rely on community support to help keep things going. The community fund is a way for people to offer financial support as a form of mutual aid for community near and far. All donations made to the community fund go directly to helping the farm provide flowers and merch to those who need/want to lean on community. Here at Bread & Dahlias we take care of each other.

Bread & Dahlias exists as an act of rebellion against the myth of scarcity and capitalist ideals. As so many struggle to survive under late-stage capitalism, Bread & Dahlias seeks to offer a glimpse of an alternative way of being in the world: one rooted in generosity and community support. It is absolutely risky and there is no guarantee it will work, but nothing will ever change unless we risk it all to change it. Here at Bread & Dahlias we believe there is more than enough to go around and we all deserve more than the bare minimum to survive. We deserve to thrive.

The community fund is for everyone. And when Bread & Dahlias says everyone, we mean everyone. The thing is Bread & Dahlias is a political statement and we wear our values on our sleeve, but even if you don’t agree with the vision, mission, and messages of Bread & Dahlias, the community fund exists for you too. Anyone can donate to it and anyone can lean on it whenever they need. No one is turned away at Bread & Dahlias for lack of funds ever.

There are two ways to access the fund. If you see something in the shop and would like to use the community fund to buy something, please use the contact form to send a message to the farm. Unfortunately there is no way to give things away for free on this platform easily. Please reach out and I will be happy to work with you.
